Earlier this year, the Providence team embarked on a Trade Mission to Ireland, hosted by the Trans-Tasman Business Circle. The high-profile venture was focused on highlighting the growing business opportunities coming out of Ireland for ANZ businesses.
Ireland’s economy was hit significantly in 2008 with a 3-year long financial crisis that ravaged most industries and left employment at an all-time low. Since then, they have made an impressive comeback, creating over 370 000 new jobs and with 50% growth in their GDP, jumping ahead of China in global growth. Trans-Tasman recognises that Ireland is now a wealth of opportunity for investment from Australia and New Zealand.
We were joined by numerous noteworthy organisations from major industries across the ANZ region, including Alan Joyce, CEO of Qantas – a key client of Providence Solutions Australia. Qantas is an important adopter of our Availability solution, using everRun Fault Tolerance and Neverfail availability which enables them to protect their mission critical Security Access Control database.
With their support, and the support of other regional clients, we will be able to bring our innovative solutions to the businesses of Ireland. Providence Solutions was also honoured to be able to use this opportunity to explore other market prospects within Ireland, including the potential to develop a hub of product development and data support and establish a future Data Monitoring centre.
There is no doubt that Ireland has come into its own over the past decade and we are excited to be able to experience the innovations that come out of their now-global market.
